Worn Out Railings.
In my pursuit to add farmhouse looks to our house. I needed to refinish or paint our railings. The stain was wearing off and you could see the railings were looking aged and rough.
I didn’t feel like taking the time for sanding and re-staining. I chose to use Rustoleum chalk paint again. The best part of chalk paint is the ability to paint with minimal prep and sanding. It sounds too good to be true.
The only prep work I did was taping off areas I wanted to protect. I applied two coats with a day in between. I touched up spots that I needed too. I applied two coats of Rustoleum clear finish.
Our entry way accent wall! The wall was already present when we bought the house and frankly, I think it’s what sold me on it in the first place. I wanted to show you because I loved it! Its what sparked my interest in farmhouse and rustic ideas.
