Ways To Add Creative Family Activity To Your Life!

The pandemic has really been a rough ride for most of us. As many family’s had to avoid going out and doing things in public, we wanted to start a new tradition! We have decided to start doing family adventures on Sundays to increase our children’s experiences and activity!

Today’s adventure was a walk in the park! Literally! We visited Traverse des Sioux Trails. It’s a trail system located in Chaska, Minnesota, just west of Minnesota Highway 169.

I was unsure of how the boys would act when we started. They were not very excited about having to walk on a trail. However, The Trails did not disappoint!

As a Father, I had goosebumps seeing how much Vin and Beau were running around and yelling! They just seemed to have so much love and energy and it was showing as we explored nature! Vin kept saying, “this is my first real adventure!” It made me so happy! Vin and I were pretending to hunt Sasquatch! It was definitely worth the experience! There was a trail where many bikers and walkers were out enjoying the wonderful weather! We went off the path and saw nature, dens and nests, fallen trees that we climbed and balanced on and acres of wooded walking! We also got to see parts of the Minnesota River. It was great to get out and exercise as a family in the great outdoors! We will be visiting again when the trees are blooming.

Sitting here writing this, Vin told me, his exact words were, “I was happy Daddy chose to drive us to that park!”

That’s me practicing my yeti call!

More to come…..
