Kid Approved Treats

This idea came to me because my boys enjoy peanut butter and Nutella sandwiches.

I wanted to reduce the amount of ingredients in the chocolate spread, use natural sweetener, and lower the sugar content.

Simple ingredients and a simple recipe to remember. All it takes to make a small batch is 1/4 cup of each ingredient.

Heat a small pan on low. When it is warm add the coconut oil. When it becomes liquid add the honey and stir the mixture together. Add the cocoa powder slowly and use area plastic fork to continuously mix the ingredients until it is a smooth consistency.

Try to not use high heat. The consistency will not turn out if it’s burnt.

Use a spatula to pour it into a storage container.

Use the chocolate to coat fruit and freeze; use it as a fondue or a chocolate spread. If you store it in the fridge, it will harden. To reuse, let it sit at room temperature or microwave it for 15-20 seconds.

Vin gives this a 100 thumbs up!
